Sunday I went to the beach to swim with my friends. We had to travel by public transport because the beach was almost ten kilometers away. Normally we used to take a taxi but for this time we decided to take the tram. 

The tram was fully electronic and there were two kinds of wagons. One wagon was for the children and women and the other one was just for the men. We had to buy a ticket for the tram and we could use the same ticket to go back after our day at the beach. The ticket was 5 euros (that is about 40 dirham)  and we could use that ticket the whole day for the public transport.  

The tram in Dubai is known for being one of the fastest trams in the world so it took us only 15 minutes to arrive at the beach. It was fun to travel by tram, not only because it was completely different to the trams we knew but also because we traveled with an electric tram. The people in Dubai have thought about the environment and about sustainability as you can tell by my example of the tram. 

I really enjoyed the day at the beach and after all the swimming and fun we decided to go back. We traveled the same route as we did on first trip and it was all worth it for what we had paid. After we came back in the hotel we were really tired so we went to bed.
